Mr. Hannanasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will introduce legislation to amend the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Acts of 1960 and 1963, so as to prohibit the provision of amusements with prizes in any commercial place and the use of such machines by children and by young persons under the age of 16 years.
§ Mr. George ThomasLocal authorities are already empowered under the Betting, Gaming and Lotteries Act, 1964, to refuse permits for the provision of amusements with prizes on the ground of the nature of the premises or that the premises are used by young persons.
