§ Mr. MellishThe average time from public local inquiry to the issue of a decision on slum clearance orders is 17 weeks for compulsory purchase orders and 12 weeks for clearance orders. The inspector's report on the Gateshead Sunderland Road (No. 2) Compulsory Purchase Order, 1964, has only just been received and the decision will be given as soon as possible.
