§ Mr. Sheldonasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government what is the latest estimate he has made of the number of houses without baths in Droylsden, Lancashire; and how this compares with the number five years ago.
§ Mr. MellishThe latest complete information is derived from the 1961 Census Returns. These showed that 1,300 houses were without fixed baths. Since then 66 unfit houses have been demolished or closed, most of which will have lacked baths, and baths have been installed in 70 houses with the aid of standard improvement grants. It is not known how many baths have been installed without grant.
