asked the Prime Minister what are the arrangements between the Minister of Land and Natural Resources and the Secretary of State for Wales in regard to the making of regulations for the payment of Exchequer grants under Section 97 of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act, 1949; and which Minister will be responsible for the payment of such of these grants as relate to Wales and Monmouthshire.

The Prime Minister

Under the new arrangements, my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Wales will make the payments in Wales under Section 97 of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act, 1949. General regulations affecting the whole of England and Wales will be made by my right lion. Friends the Minister of Housing and Local Government and Minister of Land and Natural Resources, acting in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State.
