HC Deb 09 March 1965 vol 708 cc74-5W
Mr. Arthur Lewis

asked the Attorney-General whether he will instruct the Director of Public Prosecutions to initiate proceedings for perjury against a person, whose name has been sent to him, who gave evidence at the trial of one Johnston directly contradictory of that which he gave six months before at the trial of one Brett.

The Attorney-General

No; I have no evidence that perjury was committed at either of these trials. If my hon. Friend will let me have any evidence in his possession which suggests that an offence was committed, I will of course see that it is considered.
