§ 32. Mr. Bessellasked the Minister of Transport if he will give a general direction, in the public interest, to the Railways Board to implement the recommendation made last year by the Inspector of Accidents that the red rear oil lamps on trains should be replaced by brighter flashing lights which would better serve their purpose of preventing collision.
§ Mr. Tom FraserThis is not a suitable subject for such a direction; but I understand that the Board has followed up this recommendation and is carrying out experiments with improved forms of tail lamps.
