Mr. Wingfield Digbyasked the Minister of Transport if he will give a general direction, in the public interest, to the British Railways Board that it shall not refuse consignments of goods to stations on lines which it has the ultimate intention of closing, on the grounds that there is a ban on goods going to that area, although he has not given his consent to such closing nor has the proposal yet before him.
