HC Deb 02 March 1965 vol 707 cc212-3W
Mr. Pounder

asked the Postmaster-General what has been the trend over the past 12 months concerning vandalism connected with telephone kiosks in Belfast; and what steps he intends to take to stamp out this practice.

Mr. Joseph Slater

There were 258 cases of wilful damage to telephone kiosks in Belfast in 1964, compared with 158 cases in 1963. Both figures exclude glass breakage. A variety of measures have already been taken to combat repeated acts of vandalism, and others are being devised; but I am sure the hon. Member will not expect me to reveal specific details of their nature.
