§ 90. Mr. Arthur Lewisasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he is aware that Her Majesty's Government are assisting the West German Government in their efforts to recover what are known as the Eastern Territories by circulating the West German sheet entitled "Focus 182W on Germany" in each issue of the weekly official news-sheets published by the British Army of the Rhine and as part of the Berlin Bulletin; and whether he will cease to do this.
§ Mr. Healey"Focus on Germany" has been published for some years by the Federal German Press Office. It gives information on sporting, recreational and cultural activities which is useful to the British soldier, and contains articles on current civilian and military matters which are designed to further good Anglo-German relations. It is inserted in the divisional magazines, which are published in B.A.O.R. and Berlin for British soldiers. Its contents, generally, are innocuous and of a non-controversial nature; H.Q. B.A.O.R. has, however, been asked to arrange to delete from future editions a small map of Germany showing the 1939 frontiers.
