Anstruther-Grayasked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has now received the views of the Scottish Chief Constables Association on the question of laying additional duties 66W upon traffic wardens with a view to releasing police officers for other duties; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. RossThe Chief Constables' (Scotland) Association has not yet formally submitted its views, but I understand that it would welcome an extension of the functions of traffic wardens similar to that provided for in England and Wales.
