§ 45. Sir R. Thompsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he is aware of the implications for public service pensioners of the rise in prices which have taken place in the context of a planned incomes policy; and if he will set up new planning machinery to ensure 168W that the real value of public service pensions is maintained.
§ Mr. MacDermotNo new machinery is needed. Increases in the cost of living are being taken into account in the present review of public service pensions.
