asked the Minister of Health what is the total membership of the 15 regional hospital boards in England and Wales, and how many of them were chosen from among nominations made by the Trades Union Congress.

Of the 400 regional board members 20 were recommended by the Trades Union Congress last November. Some of the other members had been recommended by the Trades Union Congress at the time of their first appointment.
