§ Mr. Iain Macleodasked the Minister of Transport if he will reconsider his decision to turn down an application from the urban district council of Potters Bar for a pedestrian crossing adjacent to The Elm's Clinic, High Street, Potters Bar, bearing in mind that the latest pedestrian census by the urban district council showed that on 12th May, 1965 a total of 1,040 people crossed the road at the point of the proposed site between the hours of 7 a.m. and 7 p.m.
§ Mr. Tom FraserI think that a pedestrian crossing would not be the right answer to the problem at this site, but190W I will consider whether other measures can be taken to improve conditions here for pedestrians, and I will write to the right hon. Member.
