The proportion of the national revenue spent on major improvements and new construction of roads in Great Britain in 1961–62, 1962–63, 1963–64, and 1964–65 was 1.2 per cent.,112W 1.5 per cent., 1.8 per cent. and 1.9 per cent. respectively. The estimated proportion for 1965–66 is 2.0 per cent. Directly comparable information is not available for other countries.
