Evansasked the Minister of Transport what advice he has received from the West Midland Regional Economic Planning Council on the planning implications of the proposed withdrawal of passenger train services between Birmingham New Street and Redditch and Birmingham New Street and Worcester; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. Tom FraserI have received the comments of the Council on the economic planning implications of these proposals. I shall take these into account in reaching my decision, which I hope to do shortly.
