§ 54. Mr. Hooson
asked the Minister of Land and Natural Resources, if he is aware that the latest available Ordnance Survey sheets for Montgomeryshire are the 1901 and 1902 editions and that farmers, owners of woodlands and others have difficulty in operating from obsolete sheets; and what action he will take in the matter.
§ Mr. Willey
While the latest 1/2500 scale Ordnance Survey sheets of Montgomeryshire are the 1901 and 1902 editions, the county is, however, covered by post-war mapping at scales of six inches to one mile and smaller. I know12W that the absence of up to date 1/2500 scale sheets causes difficulties to farmers and others, and a comprehensive review of the work and resources of the Department is being carried out to see what can be done to accelerate the programme of remapping at this scale.
