Mr. Simon Mahonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if, in view of the contribution nurses and other personnel from the Commonwealth and Eire are making towards the successful running and maintenance of hospitals in this country, he will give an assurance that the recruitment of such people will not be impeded by legislation to control immigration.
