§ Mr. Derek Page
asked the Minister of Labour how many agricultural workers in Norfolk are employed in agricultural gangs; and what proportion that is of the total agricultural labour force in the area.
§ Mr. Gunter
No precise figures are available. Inquiries suggest that there are probably fewer than 2,000 workers in agricultural gangs in Norfolk.
The total number employed in agriculture and horticulture in the area in mid-1964 was over 29,000.
