§ 48. Mr. Pavittasked the Minister of Health if he will publish in the OFFICIAL REPORT the names and qualifications of the members of his recently formed advisory group, together with its terms of reference; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. K. RobinsonI am circulating a list of the members. There are no formal terms of reference. The group has been constituted to provide me with a source of informal advice about the future development of the health and welfare 9W services. It will not function as a committee called upon to report on a defined subject, but the members, collectively and individually, will be available for the exchange of ideas based on a broad view of the services as a whole. The existence of the group will not in any way diminish either my use of the normal advisory machinery or consultation with the professions; indeed the scope for these may well be increased.
