§ 20. Mr. Rankinasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what are his regulations governing interviews between convicted prisoners under his control and other persons.
§ Miss BaconThe normal practice is that a prisoner who is entitled to a visit may be interviewed during visiting hours by anyone whom he is willing to see. The regulations are set out in Rules 33, 34, 35 and 37 of the Prison Rules (S.I. No. 388 of 1964). Guidance on their interpretation is given to Governors in Standing Orders and circular instructions, copies of which are in the Library.
