§ 52. Mr. Mappasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if the inquiries into complaints within the Oldham Police Force, initiated in April last, have now been concluded; and if he will make a statement in the light of his powers under section 32 of the Police Act, 1964.
§ Sir F. SoskiceI am informed that the disciplinary proceedings and the investigation by the Watch Committee of complaints against the Chief Constable and other senior officers have not yet been completed, and I accordingly cannot at present add to my answer of 27th May.
