§ Mr. Doddsasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, in view of the position that has developed in Gibraltar as a result of the unfrieindly attitude of the Spanish authorities and the failure of representations to halt the deteriorating situation, what consideration has now been given to economic methods of inducing the Spanish Government to 320W change their policy and of mitigating the hardships of Gibraltarians.
§ Mr. PadleyHer Majesty's Government have under continuous review all types of action, including action in the economic field, which might appropriately be taken in accordance with their undertaking to defend and sustain the people of Gibraltar. I explained to the House on 18th June the positive steps being taken in the economic field.
