§ Mr. RossEducation authorities have power to provide transport for less than the statutory walking distances where 227W they consider it necessary. I will be glad to look into any particular case. Sparsity of population is one of the factors allowed for in the calculation both of General Grant and Exchequer Equalisation Grant.
