§ Mr. K. RobinsonIn 1964, a total of 41,491 doctors and 214,052 nursing staff. Comparable figures for 1963 are 41,376 doctors and 209,429 nursing staff. Part-time staff are included as whole-time equivalents. The figures are for September (except those included for local authority staff, which are for December).
