§ 58. Mr. Shinwellasked the Minister of Transport what progress has been made with the development of the A.19 road; and what further schemes are contemplated to improve road facilities in the region of the new town of Peterlee in County Durham.
§ Mr. Tom FraserConstruction of the Shotton and Sheraton diversions is well under way. Work on the improvement of the five mile section between Wolviston and Sheraton should start next month.
Schemes for the improvement of the rest of the A.19 north of the Tees, including the section to which Peterlee has access, are being prepared with all possible speed.
