§ Mr. H. Hyndasked the Minister of Aviation what new appointment he has made to the membership of the Plowden Committee.
§ Mr. Roy JenkinsFollowing the resignation from the Plowden Committee of my hon. Friend the Member for Edmonton (Mr. Albu) on his appointment as Minister of State for Economic Affairs, I have reviewed the membership of the Committee and decided to appoint two new members. My hon. Friend the Member for Loughborough (Mr. Cronin) and Mr. St. J. de H. Elstub, the Chairman of Imperial Metal Industries, have both accepted my invitation to serve. In addition I have decided to appoint a Technical Assessor to the Committee who, though not a member, will be available to provide objective advice and assistance on technical matters. Mr. Walter Tye of the Air Registration Board has accepted my invitation to serve in this capacity.
