§ Sir J. Fletcher-Cookeasked the Postmaster-General whether he is satisfied that a first delivery of mail at 930 a.m. at Ashurst, Hampshire, is reasonably early; and whether he will take action to ensure delivery at an earlier hour.
§ Mr. BennThe Answer to the first part of the Question is "Yes"; it would not be practicable without incurring disproportionate expense to finish the first delivery in rural areas such as Ashurst before 9.30 a.m.
With regard to the second part of the Question, delivery in part of the village has been made later than it should have been and I have now had this put right.
