§ 65. Mr. Martenasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much of the £67 million of the Civil Supplementary Estimates presented to Parliament on 9th February is attributable to increased salaries and wages.
§ Mr. DiamondSome £34 million is due to increased costs. A substantial part of this is for increased salaries and wages, but I am afraid that it is not possible to determine precisely how much without an undue expenditure of time and labour.
