1960 1961 1962 1963 1964 £34 £12 £5 £8 (Loss) £6 (Forecast) These estimates reflect the trend of net returns over the whole period more accurately than the absolute level in any particular year. They are closely related to the sugar yield per crop acre which was exceptionally low in Scotland in 1963.
