§ 44. Mr. Ron Lewisasked the Minister of Housing and Local Government if he will increase the amount at present allowed under the Local Government Financial Loss Allowance Regulations, and also the subsistences allowed under the regulations.
§ Mr. MacCollMy right hon. Friend will shortly be making new regulations providing for increases in the maximum rate of subsistence allowance for members of local authorities, which were last revised in 1959. No increases are, however, proposed in the current maximum rate of financial loss allowances; these were prescribed more recently in 1962.
