§ 112. Mr. Rankinasked the Secretary of State for Scotland why he has reduced the sum to be spent on building the new Govan High School by £36,000, in view of the need for providing better accommodation and amenities for both staff and pupils to meet the increasing requirements of modern education.
§ Mr. RossThe initial tender cost of this project greatly exceeded the estimate I had approved as a maximum cost. The accommodation and amenities planned for the school have not been affected by the reductions.
