68. Mr. John Hall

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what pension will be paid to the widow of Prison Officer Lambert.

In addition to a lump sum payment of about £813, the total payments to Mrs. Lambert under the National Insurance (Industrial Injuries) Act 1965, and the Superannuation Act 1965, are expected to provide her and her children with a weekly sum of approximately £13 8s. for the first thirteen weeks of her widowhood and £11 16s. thereafter. She will additionally continue to receive a family allowance of 8s. 0d. a week in respect of her second child. It will also be open to her to make a claim to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board.
