§ Mr. ThorntonIt is estimated that the number of employees in employment in brick, fireclay and refractory goods manufacture in Scotland was 8,700 at mid-1964 and was the same at mid-1963. Mid-1964 is the most recent date for which figures are available. Estimates are not available for the brick industry alone.
