§ Mr. Howeasked the Minister of Health to what extent he is satisfied with the efficiency and accuracy of operation of the machinery for registration and inspection under the Nurseries and Child Minders Regulation Act 1948 within the area of the Greater London Council; and whether he will take steps to improve such machinery.
§ Mr. LoughlinAll local health authorities in England and Wales were recently asked to review the operation of the 355W 1948 Act in their areas to see whether improvements are needed in present arrangements. Until my right hon. Friend has received and considered their reports it would be premature to attempt an assessment of the situation in London or elsewhere.
