HC Deb 02 August 1965 vol 717 c249W
Sir C. Osborne

asked the President of the Board of Trade, in view of the fact that the United Kingdom adverse trade balance was due largely to Great Britain buying £251 million more than was sold to the United States of America in 1964, and £260 million in the case of Canada, if he will restrict drastically all imports from North America, and from the other 17 countries which have large and persistent trade balances in their favour; and if he will make a statement.
