HC Deb 02 August 1965 vol 717 cc255-6W
Mr. Maginnis

asked the Minister of Aviation why the name of Northern Ireland has been omitted from the new destination board at No. 2 domestic passenger entrance at London Airport, while it is still retained on the arrivals board at the arrivals annexe.

Mr. Roy Jenkins

For the sake of brevity and clarity we are standardising on the term "United Kingdom", which covers Great Britain and Northern Ireland. The sign on the arrivals board at the arrivals annexe will shortly be brought into line.
