Mr. Pavitt

asked the Minister of Health how many whole-time consultants and part-time consultants, respectively, were employed in the National Health Service for the years 1959 and 1964.

In addition, there were 466 honorary and 12 locum appointments in 1959; in 1964 the comparable figures were 618 and 188 respectively.
