asked the Minister of Transport when he will announce his decision on the Littleton and Badsey Station and other stations proposed to be closed for passenger service on the Oxford—Worcester line.

In accordance with the arrangements I announced on 31st March, I shall be referring this proposal to the regional Economic Planning Councils and Boards for the East Midland and West Midland Regions for their comments on its planning implications.

I will announce my decison as soon as possible, but I cannot yet say when this is likely to be.
