Including wives, a total of 6,920 persons in the United Kingdom enjoy full or partial diplomatic immunity.
Of these, 2,588, together with 1,302 wives, are on the strength of foreign diplomatic missions and 255, together with three wives, are members of international organisations.
The total figure also includes 1,978, together with 794 wives, on the staffs of Commonwealth High Commissions.
