HC Deb 12 April 1965 vol 710 cc131-2W
Mr. William Hamilton

asked the Minister of Public Building and Works if he will itemise the £16,400 shown as Appropriations-in-Aid, Rents, Licences, etc., in the Civil Estimates, Class IX, Vcte 10.

Mr. C. Pannell

Actual receipts for the year 1964–65 are not yet known, but the breakdown of the estimated receipts is as follows:—

£
3,170 Rents and Licences.
9,830 Receipts from tenants for central heating, hot water, etc.
2,260 Contribution from Holyrood Amenity Trust.
1,140 Miscellaneous receipts, e.g. lavatory receipts, sale of guide books.
16,400

below. The 1965–66 estimate has risen to £555,000 mainly because of increases in wages and the cost of materials during the past year. The estimates are prepared in a form which does not separate the wages of industrial staff and I am not therefore able to exclude them.
