asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what proportions of foodstuffs and feedingstuffs consumed in this country are imported from Commonwealth, European and other countries, respectively.

Approximately half of the food and feedingstuffs consumed in this country is imported, and of these imports 43 per cent. by value came in 1964 from the Commonwealth, 33 per cent. from Europe (including the Irish Republic) and 24 per cent. from all other countries.
