One of the aims of the comprehensive transport studies now302W being planned collectively by the local authorities on Merseyside, with which my Ministry is fully associated, is to enable the merits of alternative possible public transport systems to be fully considered. Meanwhile it would be wrong for me to comment on particular ideas or proposals.
