§ 38. Mr. McMasterasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will consider taking steps to reduce bank interest charges on money borrowed to assist industrial development and trade expansion in Northern Ireland.
§ Mr. MacDermotNo. The Government are most anxious that continued industrial development in Northern Ireland should be encouraged, but my right hon. Friend does not propose to interfere with the normal working of the bank credit system.
