§ 56. Sir A. Meyerasked the Minister of Transport if he is aware of the danger to children and old people from fast traffic in Long Furlong Drive, Britwell and in Trelawney Avenue, Langley; and if he will consult the local authority to see what can be done to minimise this danger.

§ Mr. Tom FraserAs the hon. Member will know, an application for a pedestrian crossing in Trelawney Avenue, Langley, has been refused by my Department on the grounds that the traffic conditions do not justify the installation of a crossing. No request has been received from the borough council for a crossing in Long Furlong Drive, Britwell; but I will, of course, consider very carefully any such application, or any further evidence about a crossing in Trelawney Avenue, which they may put forward.
