§ Mr. A. Pearsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether, in view of the United Kingdom being a signatory to an agreement in 1950 to grant duty-free entry for books and other educational publications, he will exempt from the import charge of 15 per cent. books and other education materials required by teacher-training colleges and similar educational institutions.
§ Mr. DiamondAs my right hon. Friend the Chancellor of the Exchequer announced in the House on 11th November, books and other educational publications will be exempt from the import charge.
