§ Mr. William Hamiltonasked the Minister of Public Building and Works what immediate plans he has for dealing with the shortage of bricks, copper pipes and fittings; what evidence he has that house building is being held up because of such shortages; and whether he will hold up 30W less essential building work so that the house-building programme may continue at an accelerated speed.

More capacity is being installed to produce copper goods and plasterboard. As regards bricks, I would refer my hon. Friend to the Answer I gave him today to his other Question.
