§ Dr. D. Johnsonasked the Minister of Health how many patients have been involuntarily detained under Section 26 of the Mental Health Act in each year since the passing of the Act in 1959.
§ Mr. BraineInformation is not available about the number of patients, but Section 26 was used on 3,195 occasions from 1st May to 31st December, 1961, and on 5,150 occasions in 1962.
