§ 49. Mr. Currieasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs what progress has now been made towards securing the payment of compensation by the West German State to the British citizens who were detained in German concentration camps during the 1939–45 war and to the dependants of those who died consequent upon their detention in such camps.
§ Mr. MathewNegotiations on this question are at present in progress in Bonn. An announcement will be made when they are concluded. It would not help matters to make any further statement now.
