§ 67. Mr. K. Robinsonasked the Minister of Health what action he has taken, since the publication of the Franks Committee Report, Command Paper No. 218, on Recommendations 54, 56 and 57 relating to the National Health Service; and when those Recommendations are to be implemented.
§ Mr. BarberThe Government have already announced that they are unable to accept recommendation 56. I am awaiting the views of the Council on Tribunals on recommendation 57, which has been discussed with the Council. On recommendation 54, I do not think that assistance from Ministry or Executive Council officials in the preparation of cases would be easy to reconcile with the functions of the Ministry and the Councils in determining the cases.
