§ Dr. A. Thompsonasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he will introduce legislation to give additional tax incentives to companies undertaking research and development in areas where new growth is needed, as recommended in the Scottish Council for Development and Industry Report issued this week.
§ Mr. MaudlingI shall of course consider carefully what the Council has said on this matter.
